The Troubleshooting and Settings section is an essential functionality of the desktop application that allows users to diagnose technical issues and configure advanced system parameters. This section is available through the main application menu and provides tools for developers and system administrators.

Main Features

🔧 Troubleshooting

UCP Log

  • Purpose: Opens the development tools specific to the UCP component (Unified Communications Platform)
  • Availability: Only visible when UCP is logged in
  • Access: Menu → Troubleshooting → UCP Log
  • Functionality: Allows diagnosis of specific issues with UCP

⚙️ Settings

UCP Staging

  • Purpose: Allows switching between production and staging environments for UCP
  • Type: Checkbox
  • Availability: Only visible when UCP is logged in
  • Access: Menu → Settings → UCP staging
  • Functionality:
  • When enabled: Changes to staging URL (/staging)
  • When disabled: Changes to production URL (/ucp)
  • Automatically restarts the UCP instance

Network Limiter

  • Purpose: Configures IP handling policies for WebRTC
  • Availability: Only visible when UCP is logged in
  • Access: Menu → Settings → Network Limiter
  • Available options:
  • Default: System default configuration
  • Default public and private interfaces: Includes public and private interfaces
  • Default public interface only: Public interfaces only
  • Disable non proxied udp: Disables non-proxied UDP
